Music Instruments Making
We launched a musical instruments making training program as a pilot in the fall 2018, for students who are living in Bekaa-Lebanon. The program seeks to preserve the art and craft of musical instrument making, in particular Oud and Buzuk, by getting a few of the masters of this art, to teach the skills of instrument making to young makers. The training consists of regular sessions given by experienced makers from Lebanon and intensive workshops led by visiting trainers from the Arab countries.
After graduation, the participants have the opportunity to train at an advanced level, in addition to providing financial and technical support to a number of them to establish their own workshops.
Till now, 20 participants have graduated, and 4 among them got the support from AFH to establish their own workshops and start their own business.
