A Communications and Advocacy specialist with over 15 years of experience in working with humanitarian and human rights organizations, in various countries, and in diplomatic capitals like Geneva and New York. With her extensive knowledge on aid, development and politics, Tamara Al-Rifai has worked at the United Nations, the ICRC and Human Rights Watch, and has published and appeared regularly in regional and international media to comment on humanitarian and human rights issues in general. Tamara Al-Rifai received her BA in Political Science from the American University in Beirut and her MA in International Studies from the University of Birmingham, UK. She is a native of Syria and is fluent in Arabic, English, French and Spanish. She is married and has three children.
